When the first cases of COVID-19 reached his home state of Iowa in March 2020, producer charlieD suddenly found himself quarantined at home. Optimistic weeks turned to bitter months as the virus ran rampant under Governor #CovidKim Reynolds.

With his endless free time, charlieD began brewing a mixtape, blending the hippest hops with vintage flavors. The music community rallied in support of his craft, flooding his doorstep with vocal submissions on 12" singles. He pored through scores of records for the sickest bars, labeling each new mix with a poignant name to encourage health and safety during a pandemic of ignorance and irresponsibility.

Now after a year of fermentation, charlieD is proud to serve up a case full of 19 new recipes that act as a reminder to stay safe, stay sane, and take care of each other.
